"Sacred Paths" is a ministry that seeks to help people encounter the risen Christ through the practice of the classic spiritual disciplines. We have much to learn from our forefathers in the faith as they have left us a legacy of pursuing God with a whole heart through practices like prayer, meditation on Scripture, solitude, spiritual friendship, self-examination, and simplicity. These spiritual pathways with God quiet our souls to hear His voice, open our hearts to receive his healing grace, and transform us from the inside out so that we actually learn to become more and more like Christ. At Pathways, we believe that these "godly exercises" (1 Timothy 4:8) are for ordinary people who work at their jobs, care for their children, wash the dishes, and take out the trash. So we teach the disciplines and train people to practice them together as they walk through daily life. We will model and experience the disciplines in our worship service and have training through the "Sacred Paths" ministry. Also, every guide group (small group) will be encouraged to use the disciplines in their meeting format.
